My name is Karen, and I am a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) with over 15 years of experience. I later on became a certified postpartum doula (PPD) and a lactation educator. My passion for this work stems from a deeply personal place, and I want to share my story with you because I understand the challenges and joys of motherhood in a way that only someone who has walked a similar path can.

I was born and grew up in Jamaica West Indies. I migrated to the United States in on 20’s and lived in Queens for a number of years diverse community in New York, where I attended Mico Practicing School for my primary and junior high education. Later, I pursued my studies in Human Resources at Lehman College University of New York and Business Administration at SUNY Westchester Community College. These educational experiences equipped me with the skills to understand and support people in various stages of their lives, but it was my personal journey that ignited my passion for newborn care.

As a woman, I have always been aware of the unique challenges that come with motherhood, especially when navigating the complexities of raising a child in a multicultural family. My personal experience has given me a profound empathy for the diverse needs and experiences of the families I work with.

I became a Newborn Care Specialist because I wanted to provide the kind of compassionate, personalized support that I wish I had during my own journey into motherhood. I know firsthand how overwhelming those early days can be, filled with both joy and uncertainty. That's why I am dedicated to offering expert care and emotional support to mothers and babies during life’s most precious moments.
